5 Tips For A Romantic Stay-At-Home Valentine’s Day

From all of us at Libby’s® Fruits & Vegetables, we hope you and your loved ones have a perfect and memorable Valentine’s Day. Spending quality time together can be one of the most meaningful gifts, and what better way to celebrate this special day than cooking a meal together for a stay-at-home Valentine’s Day.

Sharpen your culinary skills, learn a new cooking technique, or try a new recipe together and prepare a romantic, decadent candlelit dinner at home with those you love.

We’ve collected five tips that can help you plan an unforgettable stay-at-home Valentine’s Day menu:

  1. Make sure you plan several days in advance and have everything you need on hand for your menu the day of, so you aren’t running or rushing around frantically to pick up ingredients or supplies.
  2. Include one or two items on the menu that are tried and true that you all enjoy. Often, the most romantic dishes are those that you both love, those that remind you of a special place or time together, those that are familiar, and those that you can easily prepare together.
  3. While you may have the key to your sweetheart’s heart, fish can be the key to a healthy heart. You should eat fish, like salmon, twice a week. If fish is something you both enjoy, be sure to include it as a protein option on your Valentine’s Day menu.
  4. If you’re going to try something new together, don’t go overboard. Maybe it’s just a new fruit or vegetable, a new side or even a new seasoning – so if you both don’t like it – the dinner is not ruined.
  5. Pair your Valentine’s Day at home with a curated music experience. Fill your Valentine’s Day playlist with songs that are special ahead of time so all that’s left to do is press play.

Here’s our take on a stay-at-home Valentine’s Day dinner menu. We hope there’s some inspiration for you in these recipes to make this Valentine’s Day the most memorable one yet!
