Brown Butter Green Beans with Garlic Almond Bread Crumbs
Heat skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter (unsalted), letting it melt and brown. Lightly toast almonds in skillet over medium heat. Let almonds cool then transfer to a food processor or blender and grind to the consistency of breadcrumbs.
Add 2 tbs. of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add almonds, breadcrumbs, garlic and lemon zest and cook.
Stir constantly and then remove.
Add 2 tbs. of butter to another skillet and let it melt and brown. Once butter is brown add green beans to the skillet and toss them with salt and pepper. Stir constantly to cover all beans with butter. Add the breadcrumb mixture and stir.
Remove to serving dish. Top with some more lemon zest.
